A plate type mist eliminator is also called a chevron mist eliminator, a vane type mist eliminator, etc. It collects liquid droplets entrained in the gas by means of inertia impaction.

No plugging occurs when it separates and eliminates plenty of dust or viscous mist from the liquid droplets, so excellent collection efficiency is achieved even at comparably high flow rates. Considering the eliminator structure, resistance loss is low, and it can be used with low pressure loss even at high gas flow rates. Even in the case of large-capacity gas processing, it can be installed at small surfaces and low costs. According to the conditions of gas, it can be made of proper heat-resisting and corrosion-resisting materials, including FRP, PP, and SUS.
